Good Things Can Come From The Cold
“Good things can come from the cold” God said to me. I looked in my garden in the back, and to my surprise white beautiful flowers grew where everything else was slowly fading. I suppose they were from my summer mixed flower seeds. I also was surprised because the green stems that supported the flowers were the greenery that I used in my summer bouquets. I thought they were weeds! All this time and I didn’t know. They aren’t just there fading away. They’re growing and prospering in the cold!
Lord, help me be like that. Help me prosper and thrive when it’s cold and colors begin to fade. That is my prayer. But there’s more.
Good things CAN come from the cold. If we choose to let it. A trial handled by bitterness to the Lord and fear given to the enemy won’t lead to a good result (flower) in the cold. It will only lead us to anxiety, discontentment and resentment towards God. Once my soul stops fighting against His choice by allowing a trial to come change me. A flower can start to blossom from the hardships.
Maybe in this life we won’t see why we had to go through trials. But is seeing that we trust God more going to be a good enough reason for us? It should be.
Lord, help me to prosper and thrive in the hard times so that when the battle is over there will be beautiful things growing from the cold.
